When change can't wait

When what needs to be done can no longer be postponed

You already know what needs to be done. But something is holding you back. Maybe it's culture, loyalties, or leaders who don't take responsibility. Then an external force can make a difference.

For a change that has stuck, another workshop or new strategy is rarely enough. Action is needed. Someone who can drive, prioritize and make decisions.

A key person without a history

An interim manager comes in without internal history, but with experience and a clear mission. That creates movement. And sometimes that's exactly what's needed. Someone who can act objectively, business-like and clearly, without getting caught up in considerations.

An external leader can also make the decisions that are difficult to make with a history in the company. When there are internal loyalties or change fatigue in the organization, it is often easier to accept clarity from someone outside.

When does interim become right?

Interim can be a powerful tool, especially when:

  • the management team does not work as a team
  • The change has stuck, but the pressure from the board is increasing
  • there is a lack of structure, responsibility or pace

Structure, responsibility and direction from day one

A good interim is not just a temporary solution. It is an experienced leader who quickly makes things happen. Who creates order, provides direction and builds trust, both upwards and within the organization.

A different perspective that makes a difference

With fresh eyes, full focus on the mission, and no internal politics or history, an interim manager can make a real difference. And that's when change gains momentum. With someone who can do what needs to be done, when it can no longer wait.
