Interim Lean consultant to drive process improvement

When order books fill up but bottlenecks, long changeover times, and waste eat into your margins, practical improvements are needed – not more presentations. An interim lean consultant steps in with just a few days' notice, maps out value streams, and guides operators and managers through concrete Kaizen activities that show visible results in the very first month. The assignment is goal-oriented and time-bound: the consultant measures the current state, prioritizes actions based on ROI, and leaves behind tools, routines, and an engaged organization that continues to drive improvements without external help.

Interim lean consultant on-site, hassle-free

Spot-on matching

After a quick chat about OEE, scrap, lead time, and your tech setup, we'll create a requirement profile that covers both skills and culture. We filter through about 8000 interim consultants based on industry experience, Six Sigma certification, and system proficiency in SAP, M3, and MES. Within five business days, we'll present 3 to 4 candidates. References are already checked, so your interviews can focus on their mandate, team chemistry, and how they'll approach the role.

The 80/20 Model

You'll see the full cost breakdown before you decide. 80% goes to the consultant and 20% to us. No upfront fees, no performance bonuses, and no minimum commitment if your needs change. All savings stay with you.

Lasting value

A personal advisor will follow the assignment from the requirement profile to handover. The consultant introduces visual management, standardized work instructions, daily stand-up meetings, and an internal lean council that drives PDCA. Documentation, skill matrices, and digital KPI dashboards are handed over in an operational state.

Why hire us?

When companies grow fast, leadership needs can change overnight. An interim manager is a flexible solution that ensures operations continue to run smoothly, no matter the challenges.

Hire an interim consultant

If you have an urgent need for a project or a permanent role, an interim consultant can fill a crucial gap.

Over 150 successfully completed assignments

Lower cost per unit with an interim lean consultant

Immediate capacity increase without investment

With value stream analysis, takt balancing, SMED, and 5S, changeovers and micro-stops are shortened. Buffer time decreases, and output increases without needing new machines. In three-shift environments, assignments have often freed up 8 to 10% capacity within 60 days.

Cost reduction and freeing up capital

Waste in inventory, transport, energy, and rework is identified and addressed with kanban, supermarkets, and pull control. WIP, scrap, and overproduction go down. Typical projects reduce manufacturing cost per unit by 15 to 20% in the first six months and free up working capital.

Improved safety and engagement

Standardized work methods and visual aids reduce sources of error and ergonomic risks. Operators are trained in 8D, FMEA, and root cause analysis, and lead their own Kaizen events. The result is fewer incidents and a daily routine where improvements are driven by the teams themselves.

The recruitment process

Our recruitment process is quick, smooth, and tailored to your needs. We make sure you get the right candidate fast, thanks to a clear requirement profile and efficient selection.

1. Assignment Description & Goals

We carefully listen to your expectations, goals, and current situation. A role description or job advertisement can be used as a basis, and we'll also conduct a structured interview with the client.

2. Candidate Search within Our Network

Around 20 suitable candidates are selected and contacted. We then conduct interviews with the relevant and available consultants we find, based on the assignment description.

3. Quality Assurance

The best 3-4 candidates are presented to the client within 1-3 days. We then have a check-in with the client to plan the selection and next steps.

4. Interview with Client – Background Check

The client conducts their interviews, any internal tests, and a final senior-level interview. References are taken if needed, and a background check can be performed on the final candidate.

5. Contract

An agreement outlining the length and scope of the assignment is drafted, always with transparent pricing so both the client and consultant know how the fee is distributed. We always pay 80% of the fee to the consultant. If the client is not satisfied, the contract can be terminated with a maximum of one month's notice.

6. Assignment Commences

During the assignment, we keep in regular contact with both the client and the consultant to catch any questions or feedback needed for a successful collaboration.

7. Wrap-up – potential employment

The assignment wraps up as per the agreement, or if the goal was employment and both parties are on board, it turns into a recruitment. The recruitment fee gets lower the longer the assignment has been going on.

Interim lean consultant with the right qualities

Deep methodological expertise and practical workshop experience

The consultant masters VSM, SMED, Heijunka, takt balancing, TPM, 5 Why, and Six Sigma tools; has driven full-system implementations in both high-volume and high-mix environments, and can quantify the impact in financial terms.

Communicative leadership close to the shop floor

Workshops are held where value is created. Operators' ideas are gathered and implemented, and the link between goals and change is made clear for every shift.

Results-oriented and adaptive

Actions with quick impact are prioritized, and the plan is adjusted when the situation changes. Results are visualized in real-time dashboards linked to margin, delivery precision, and customer satisfaction.
